Learn how to navigate Campus Connect as a Community Member or Student

Community Members

Need help with tasks? Post your service requests here

Create Account

Sign up as a Community Member and verify your identity with a government-issued ID

Navigation: Click "Sign Up" → Choose "Community Member"

Post a Service Request

Create a listing describing the task you need help with, set your budget, and choose a category

Navigation: Dashboard → "Post New Service"

Review Applications

Students will apply to your service. Review their profiles, skills, and proposals

Navigation: Dashboard → Click on your service → "View Applications"

Make Payment

Send payment via e-transfer to campusconnect0925@gmail.com with service ID in the message

Navigation: Service Detail Page → "Pay & Approve Student"

Approve Student

Once admin confirms payment, approve ONE student to work on your service

Navigation: Applications Section → Click "Approve" on your chosen student

Communicate

Use the built-in messaging system to coordinate with the student

Navigation: Click Messages icon in navbar → Select conversation

Approve Completion

Once work is done, review the proof photo and approve the completion to release payment to the student

Navigation: Service Detail Page → "Approve Completion"

Students

Earn money by helping your local community

Create Account

Sign up as a Student and verify your identity with your school ID

Navigation: Click "Sign Up" → Choose "Student"

Complete Profile

Add your skills, availability, and categories you want to work in. Set up your payment information for e-transfers

Navigation: Dashboard → "Edit Profile" and "My Categories"

Browse Services

Look for services that match your skills and availability

Navigation: Click "Browse Services" in navbar → Use filters

Submit Application

Apply to services with a brief message explaining why you're a good fit. Include your e-transfer email

Navigation: Service Detail Page → "Apply to Service"

Wait for Approval

The community member will review applications and approve one student. You'll be notified if selected

Navigation: Check Dashboard → "My Applications" or Notifications

Complete the Work

Do the job to the best of your ability. Communicate with the community member through messaging

Navigation: Messages → Coordinate details with community member

Submit Proof

Upload a proof photo showing the completed work (optional but recommended)

Navigation: Service Detail Page → "Submit Proof of Completion"

Get Paid

Once approved, payment is released in one week. You'll receive 80% of the price (20% platform fee)

Navigation: Dashboard → "My Finances" to track earnings
